For anyone who has been following weather, or lives on the East Coast themselves, you know how brutal winter has been lately. Scraping snow off of the roof, and chiseling away at 4-5 inches of ice have become a part of my daily life. Sometimes you just need to step back, take a deep breath, come to terms with the fact you live in Canada, not Turks and Caicos, and go shopping.
That is exactly what I did on Saturday. I picked up some things I felt would brighten up my beauty routine, and some that I can use into the Spring and Summer. Let's get to it! I haven't tried any of these products before. If you have, let me know in the comments what you think of them!
Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream: I got this in the shade Medium-Deep on the recommendation of a You Tube guru that said she preferred this shade, even though she is more fair skinned. It claims to hydrate, illuminate, even, firm, and correct skin. I'll be happy if it makes my legs look glowy, and blurs out some of my cellulite. (The struggle with cellulite is real. I have a holy grail product for it though! Who remembers what it is?)
Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in shade 17: This is my first Rimmel lipstick that is this formula. I love their Moisture Renew formula, and when I swatched this shade in the drugstore, I had to have it. It's a peachy pink color, and I am obsessed. I will post a photo of the color on Instagram! (@girlmetblush)
Bumble and Bumble BB Pret-a-Powder: I have wanted to buy this forever. Last time I was shopping, I saw that they came out with a half size, for half the price! That is totally up my alley. I will try it, and if it does what I want it to do, the full size will be mine!
Estée Lauder Litte Black Primer: I have yet to see a negative review on this. You can use it as a primer, a mascara, or a top coat to seal in another mascara. I have heard that it holds curl super well, and I love that the formula is black, instead of the traditional white mascara primers that can be fussy to cover. I will be trying this ASAP.
Stila Field of Florals Convertible Color Dual Lip and Cheek Palette: This was a purchase for my freelance kit. I will be doing a seperate post on this very soon, with more information on swatches etc. It's basically the collection of lip and cheek creams, all put into one palette. It's a makeup artists dream! As far as I know, it's limited as well, so if you're interested, act quickly!
Origins Ginger Savory Bath Bar: This. Smells. Amazing. I can't even bring myself to open it yet. It just sits on my vanity, and everytime I walk by it, I pick it up and have a few seconds just to myself. If I ever being myself to open this and use it, I of course will let you guys know what the actual product is like. It could be a scented block of wood for all I care, it's beautiful.
I also picked up an intensive lip care gel patch system. I am going to use them and let you guys know sometime soon what they are like. I am still on the lookout to find my perfect lip product. The weather is really taking its toll!
What have you guys picked up lately?

Some blog posts might seem ridiculous. This is a safe environment for Beauty Junkies! If you bought something just because of the packaging, or you find yourself procrastinating by swatching, this is the place for you.
